7 September is National Beer Lover’s Day in the United States. Check into any beer between 6-8 September to claim the badge.

Following Untappd’s refresh of its supporter programme and its rebrand as Insiders, Untappd has now released the first of a series of “Super Style” badges that are exclusive to members.
This badge is attainable if you are a member of the Insiders programme and you check into an American IPA style beer. Like a normal badge, it then levels up every 5 additional check ins you make.
Untappd has just followed this one up with an Imperial/Double Stout badge, with more expected to be on their way soon.

Untappd’s long running “Brew Bowl” badge celebrating the Superbowl was renamed for 2022. Now the more non-descript Stadium Beers badge, this change was likely done to avoid any copyright drama, as the NFL are notoriously protective of the Superbowl name.
The badge was also more restrictive than in past years, only a few styles of American lager counted towards the badge: Lager – American, Lager – American Amber / Red and Lager – American Light.

2021 is almost over! November also brings a small haul of seasonal badges.
International Stout Day fell on Thursday the 4th this year but the badge has been extended due to technical issues. Veterans Day survived the cull last year, so look out next week to see if it makes a return on the 11th.
The Small Brewery Sunday badge is available all month long, so look out for some American craft to claim it.
Finally, check into any beer between the 5th and 10th to claim the Next Exit badge, promoting the launch of Untappd’s latest You Tube video series.

The latest in a string of badges from the American Brewers Association, check into any beer from an American independent craft brewery between 28 June and 5 July to earn this badge.
The actual day in question is 3 July, and celebrates preparations for American Independence Day. If you are American, follow this link to find local breweries near you.

To claim this badge, check into any beer from a smallish American brewery (one listed as a Regional, Micro, Nano Brewery or Brew Pub) between 14 and 30 June 2021.
This is another badge bought to you by America’s Brewers Association and their independent craft seal.

Check into two beers from participating American breweries between 1 June and 31 August 2021. The full list is on the blog and includes some big names such as the Boston Brewing Company, Oskar Blues, Green Flash and Stone.
This badge celebrates the work done by the American Brewers Association Craft Beer Export Development program. They recently had some major success at the 2021 Australian International Beer Awards where American craft brewers won 112 awards, including 19 gold and 2 major trophies.

May is always a great month for badges, and even in the midst of a pandemic 2021 is no different. American Craft Beer Week is back, it is accompanied by the traditional badge so it’s a great time to seek out some American craft beer.
Dutch Beer Week is also (re-)scheduled for 27 May – 6 June, so hopefully the badge will return for that week as well. Based on the recent presence of Kings Day, things are looking promising!

New for 2020, simply check in to any beer from a member of the USA’s Brewers Association between 17 and 29 November to earn this badge.
Your check in will also count towards the Cheers to Independent U.S. craft breweries badge as they’re both sponsored by the Association. A list of members can be found here.
