Magical History Tour was added in September 2024 and is Untappd’s badge for Historical Beers. To claim it check in five different “historical beers”.
Untappd’s “historical beers” cover a wide range, they currently include:
- Adambier, a strong, dark and sour concoction from Dortmund in Germany.
- Berliner Braunbier, a low percentage sour from Berlin, Germany.
- Broyhan, a white beer from Northern Germany.
- Burton Ale, a dark old ale, from Burton UK.
- Dampfbier, a German style of ‘steam beer’.
- Gruit/Ancient Herbed Ale, a beer with herbs instead of hops.
- Kentucky Common, a dark cream ale from Kentucky, USA.
- Kottbusser, another German style, this time from Cottbuss.
- Kuit/Kuyt/Koyt, a Dutch style of top fermenting ale.
- Lichtenhainer, a sour and smoky beer from Germany.
- Mumme, a dark, strong medieval style of beer (again from Germany).
- Historical-Other: a catch all for other Historical styles on Untappd.
- Steinbier, a sour beer from Austria.
- Zoigl, a German beer from Oberpfalz.
As you can see, quite an eclectic grouping!
